Michael Laurysen was recently named one of the newest members of the Wood Industry 40 Under 40 Class of 2021 by Woodworking Network. This coveted award honours the next generation of industry professionals who are making an impact on wood product manufacturing.

“It is our distinct pleasure to again recognize some of the best and brightest contributors to wood product manufacturing in North America with our sixth annual class of 40 Under 40 honorees,” said Tim Fixmer, CEO of CCI Media, the parent company of Woodworking Network.

A team of editors evaluated over 150 submissions and selected individuals that demonstrated excellence and innovation in:

  • ingenuity
  • peer inspiration
  • product development
  • organizational leadership
  • and other areas!

This year’s class includes wood product manufacturers, suppliers, developers, designers, and educators, from all facets of the woodworking industry, including cabinetry, furniture, architectural woodwork, closets/home organization, and wood components.
